Audemars Piguet

Audemars Piguet is one of the few truly independent major Swiss watch manufacturers, founded in 1875 in the village of Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux — the remote Swiss valley that has produced more horological expertise per square kilometer than perhaps any place on earth. Jules-Louis Audemars and Edward-Auguste Piguet established the firm as a complications specialist, and it remains family-owned to this day. The brand's modern identity was transformed in 1972 when Gérald Genta designed the Royal Oak — a stainless steel sports watch sold at a price previously reserved for gold dress watches, with an integrated bracelet and an octagonal bezel secured by eight hexagonal screws. The Royal Oak and its offspring, the Royal Oak Offshore (1993), account for the majority of Audemars Piguet's secondary market activity, with pre-owned references including the 15202, 15300, 15400, 15500 in steel and precious metals. The Royal Oak Concept, Code 11.59, and the classic Jules Audemars and Millenary collections round out a portfolio that rewards deep exploration. Pre-owned Audemars Piguet watches are among the most actively traded pieces in the global secondary market. DeMesy & Co. in Dallas has been a trusted source for pre-owned Audemars Piguet watches since 1987.
