Hublot
Hublot is one of the most commercially successful and culturally influential watch brands of the past four decades, founded in Nyon, Switzerland, in 1980 by Carlo Crocco with a design concept that was radical for its time: a round case in 18-karat gold mounted on a natural rubber strap, combining precious metal with an industrial material in a way that challenged the conventions of luxury watchmaking. The brand's dramatic acceleration came under Jean-Claude Biver's leadership from 2004 onward, with the concept of "fusion" — combining unexpected materials — crystallized in the 2005 Big Bang. The Big Bang's multilayer case architecture, composite materials including carbon fiber, titanium, ceramic, and King Gold, and the distinctive six-screw bezel created a visual language that became one of the most widely recognized in luxury watches within a decade. Key pre-owned Hublot references include the Big Bang ref. 301.SX.130.RX and its numerous material and dial variants, the Classic Fusion for a cleaner aesthetic, and the limited edition collaborations with Ferrari, FIFA, and the UEFA Champions League that have given certain references collector status beyond their movement specifications.
