Girard-Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux is one of the oldest and most technically accomplished Swiss watch manufacturers, with roots extending to 1791 in La Chaux-de-Fonds and a history that includes some of the most important horological developments of the nineteenth century. The brand's Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges — an architectural movement in which three parallel gold bars hold the gear train in a visually striking inline arrangement — won the Grand Prix at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1889 and remains one of the most celebrated movement architectures in watchmaking. This iconic design appears in both pocket watches and modern references, making original examples among the most historically significant pre-owned pieces in the market. The Laureato, first introduced in 1975 as Girard-Perregaux's integrated-bracelet sports watch, experienced a major commercial revival in 2016 and has become the brand's most actively traded secondary market reference. The Vintage 1945, Sea Hawk, and 1966 collections round out a portfolio of considerable depth. Girard-Perregaux remains independent within the Kering Group structure and continues to develop in-house movements including the multi-axis tourbillon. DeMesy & Co. in Dallas has been a trusted source for pre-owned Girard-Perregaux watches since 1987.
