The Cartier Panthère is one of the most distinctive and fashion-forward watches the brand has produced, originally introduced in 1983 as a jewelry-integrated timepiece whose case, bracelet, and design were conceived as a unified whole. The Panthère's square case sits within a bezel of integrated links that flow seamlessly into the supple, articulated bracelet — a design so cohesive that the watch appears to be carved from a single piece of metal. Named for the panther that has been Cartier's emblematic animal since Jeanne Toussaint's tenure as creative director in the 1930s, the Panthère carries the brand's most essential iconography. The original 1983 collection featured yellow gold, white gold, and two-tone versions, with quartz movements powering the slim profiles. The Panthère was revived in 2017, updated with modern finishing standards but faithful to the original proportions, now available in small, medium, and large case sizes.
