Piaget

Piaget is a Geneva maison whose watchmaking identity is inseparable from two defining characteristics: the ultra-thin movement and the jewelry watch. Founded in 1874 in La Côte-aux-Fées by Georges Piaget, the company built its reputation as a movement manufacturer before establishing its own brand identity in the 1950s. In 1957, Piaget introduced the caliber 9P — at 2 mm, the thinnest mechanical movement in the world at the time — establishing a tradition of ultra-thin watchmaking that has defined the brand ever since. The Altiplano collection, named for the thin altitude of high plateaux, houses some of the world's thinnest mechanical watches, including the extraordinary Altiplano Ultimate Concept that measures less than 2 mm in total thickness. The Polo, introduced in 1979 as a luxury sports watch with an integrated bracelet, has become Piaget's sporting icon — pre-owned references from the original gold Polo are highly collectible. Piaget's jewelry watches, set with colored gemstones, diamonds, and precious metals in bold sculptural forms, are equally important in the brand's catalog. Pre-owned Piaget watches span the full spectrum from ultra-thin dress pieces to gem-encrusted sculptural masterworks. DeMesy & Co. in Dallas has been authenticating pre-owned Piaget watches since 1987.
